It’s that last combination that the Raiden Flux represents so well. The world of Destiny is built on dualities: light and darkness, urban sprawl and untamed wilderness, chaos and order. Pulsating with a life all its own, the Synthoceps’ mix of bright and dark greens gives this exotic a wild, untamed aesthetic. The green, veiny texture is the result of a bio-matter symbiote fusing with the wearer’s armor – an effect that really shines with the right shader. Where most pieces of armor in Destiny 2 look like they’ve come out of a mad scientist’s lab or blacksmith’s forge, the Synthoceps look organic. The clean red and white coloring is corporate, while the gaps and holes in the armor make the armor feel patchwork, cobbled together as an experimental aid in battle. But the SToMP-EE5 leg armor makes it on this list because of the duality of its design. The way the metal wraps around a Guardian’s legs, with fixtures at the knee joints, makes this armor feel as though it’s been grafted on, not worn. That’s the philosophy behind this exotic leg armor, which functions both visually and narratively as an exoskeleton. Sorry, no Celestial Nighthawk.īetter, stronger, faster. The focus here is only exotic armor that is unique to Destiny 2.
After all, it’s not worth shooting aliens if you can’t look good doing it. With this list we once again leave behind numbers and stats and instead rank which exotic armor looks the coolest.

I also like the new Insurmountable Skullfort, but only on lower level content where you can one-punch almost any enemy for infinite instant reloads as Striker. I could probably throw in a few honorable mentions here, like Lunafaction Boots which have crazy team DPS, but only if your team knows you have them. I have two pair, and my Hunter is probably never going to change subclasses again. What it does for Nightstalker is so much better than what any of these other items do for their subclasses that these boots are practically in a league of their own. It’s a total gamechanger, and fantastic for pretty much all PvE content in the game.
Tether even a reasonably big group, and you can instantly refill your entire super bar right after firing an arrow. These Hunter boots allow you to regain super energy based on how many enemies you tether with your bow.
Alright, we’ve officially arrived at an item that might just be flat out overpowered.
